My Produce Section

I baked some kale chips today. As usual, I had a lot of kale laying around plus my son loves the chips. Basic recipe: 350 degree oven. Parchment lined baking sheet. Kale leaves torn in pieces, no stems. Little olive oil, little salt. Bake 10 - 15 minutes until crispy but no browned edges.

Oh, and I went to Menchies and had weird non-dairy frozen "yogurt" that I don't want to know what's in it. And yes, it was good.

What I ate today:

• coffee
• banana
• handful cashews
• green salad - mixed greens, avocado, olive oil, nutritional yeast
• pear
• Non-Dairy Pomegranate and Pineapple Frozen "Yogurt" (Menchies)
• apple
• kale chips
• veg curry - cauliflower, peas, tomatoes, coconut milk, curry powder, turmeric, pink salt, brown rice


  1. I sprinkle nutritional yeast on my kale chips during the last few minutes of baking. It is crazytown good.

  2. My daughter's Girl Scout troop toured our local Menchies in Fremont this summer. Their milk is organic. The parents and kids were impressed overall.
