The Perks of Being Friends With an Amazing Vegan Cook


My friend Trina is an amazing vegan cook and baker.  She blogs about it over at YourVeganMom.com. Today she kindly brought me two raw cookie things - one fig and walnut, one plum and almond - and some lovely raw walnut "parmesan." The cookies are dense and delightful. She wrote on the cookie packages "made for coffee" and naturally I just happened to be drinking some coffee when she dropped them off so I ate both of them immediately. SO GOOD. I managed to get a picture of one of them before demolishing it. Looking forward to trying out the walnut parm, maybe tomorrow.


What I ate today:
• coffee
• steel cut oats soaked overnight in almond milk w/ blueberries
• a million carrots w/ a helluva lot of raw olive hummus
• 2 Trina cookies
• mixed vegetables w/brown rice (Charm Vegan)
• Thai tea
