On Saturday night we ate at Mesa Verde, a mostly vegan place that opened a few months ago. The food was great. We ordered too much of it, but ate it all. We got the roasted brussel sprouts with jackfruit "chorizo," black bean street tacos, blue lake green beans with heirloom tomatoes, fez seven vegetable tagine, roasted vegetables with couscous, a Margherita flatbread for the boy, and some dessert that I don't remember what it was but I remember liking it. Everything was great.
I ordered a rooibos iced tea and found out that I am quite allergic to rooibos. I popped a couple of Benadryl and was good to go. I find that it's so much easier to eat when your throat isn't swelled shut. (Pro-tip)
It was a fine birthday. Hello Fifty.
