Son of Big Matt

I have laryngitis. I feel sort of okay but have no voice whatsoever. The lady at the juice bar added ginger and lemon to my usual drink. She told me it would help my throat. The effect was not immediate. Maybe I'll notice tomorrow?

A new thing I saw at the natural food store today (and felt it necessary to try) is the Living Gourmet Ranch Avocado Falafel Burger. It has many, many ingredients and costs many, many dollars. It tasted like a pile of every raw ingredient out there. (minus kale) It wasn't bad but it wasn't special and I can't figure out where the word "ranch" fits in. It was not unlike the "Big Matt."

By the end of the day, I didn't feel great. So, I didn't eat as much as usual.

What I ate today:

• coffee, glorious coffee
• banana
• green juice - kale, spinach, apple, ginger, lemon
• Living Gourmet Ranch Avocado Raw Falafel Burger - sprouted garbanzo beans, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, avocado, chard, tomato, clover sprouts, almonds, onions, garlic, ground flax seed, basil, thyme, cilantro, parslry, dill, scallions, lemon, bell pepper, corriamder, cumin, dates cardamom, cayenne, habanero, coconut aminos, pepper, Himalayan pink salt, psyllium husk, Pristine Hydro living water
• vegetable soup - vegan not raw (Bristol Farms)

  1. I hope you feel better soon, Lisa.
And thanks for eating these strangely-named foods for us so that we don't have to. I will eat a fried green tomato for you if you'd like. If you insist, you know.

    1. You're a giver, Mary! I love fried green tomatoes and fried pickles too...

  2. I know. It's my nature. Also? I'm pretty sure we can't get those foods you eat here in Florida. Not that I've ever searched. But we sure know how to fry a tomato.
